Our range combines these healing practices to bring out the inner beauty and radiant glow of you.

My beginnings were not exactly natural or environmental as a young teenager......in the world of beauty therapy and modelling but as life does, change comes along and a new discovery and passion is lit. For me it began by growing my own herbs and vegetables, learning and finding out exactly what was put into all those things I had previously used! Things just began to grow and joy began to blossom as I would watch bees pollinating my plants, and worms aeriating the soil......this is where I belonged. It seemed so natural to me to use that beauty in my own homemade skin care.  In the beginning I chose one or two herbs to get to know their given powers. It was as if it was given to me, this gift of formulating with plants to use for the benefit of others.

I researched and asked many wise and wonderful herbalists and alchemists soaking everything up like a sponge studying Aromatherapy, Herbalism and well, as necessary a bit of Chemisty. 

Nowdays, I teach Kundalini Yoga, Pilates and run small workshops, tender a small garden and love to make my fresh natural and organic skin care line - infused with authentic and pure organic essential oils, floral waters, herbal elements. 

I am so proud to offer you these quality hand crafted skin care products. Every product that has been created is a gift from mother nature, created in a space of positive frequency and pure love.

This guiding principle is at the heart of Sharca Organics who like the many alchemists and herbalists past and present, believe that nature has all that we need for the beauty and care of our skin. Mindful of how much we take from nature we try to balance this by supporting companies that recompost plant materials, care for the earth - and for us, a conscious decision to keep our range small and effective.

Every facet of our production is mindfully done, our products are made by hand to reduce our energy consumption, we recycle our glass containers wherever possible and try to minimise our footprint in all that we do. 

We clearly show the percentage of Certified Organic ingredients in our products, however, we do not simply choose an ingredient just because it is organic if it is of inferior quality or is not sustainably harvested. Our mother plant tinctures are Certified Organic Medicinal Grade quality NOT the certified organic ‘COSMETIC’ grade and are made directly after gathering the fresh plant material - capturing all the vibrational, energetic and medicinal qualities of the herb in each and every bottle. Most of our plant extracts are grown locally for us in Australia under the stars of pristine Tasmania (by ACO Certified Marleen Herbs) using traditional GHP methods. Our essential oils are of the finest therapeutic grade quality. Our view is that our skin, our largest living organ, deserves the finest treatment and so we aim to apply the same standards as we would apply to the food we eat, raw materials full of vitality and life force energy. Our stance on Organic Certification is simple. We believe that the organic standards are very important, because it assures high quality ingredients that meet the most stringent requirements. It is the very same for us, we believe that high quality organic ingredients are more healthy for natural skin care. We have not applied for an Organic Certification due to the high costs and paperwork that prohibit small traders from such an action, but believe that with honesty in what we do, those that come to know us will also know that we adhere as much as possible to the rules that outline such governing bodies.

Lastly, but not least, all our suppliers provide us with a certificate of organic certification for their raw materials from either of these certifying bodies:

USDA -- ECOCERT -- BFA(ACO) -- NASSA

PALM OIL:

Nature is a balanced system - what is good for your skin shouldn’t be harmful to the environment. Our commitment to sustainability extends to the source of our ingredients, and this also applies to palm oil.
We are very aware of the issues surrounding palm oil production and the destruction of rain forests. For this reason we do not use any palm oil in our products. However, we do use emulsifiers in a range of products which have a palm-derived component (i.e. cetearyl alcohol). Often it is very difficult to obtain information from suppliers which starting material they used, therefore in many of our products we prefer to use natural substances which have stood the test of time and which do not originate from palm oil i.e. soy lecithin, beeswax and natural gums. Where we are unable to use these more natural emulsifiers, we only use emulsifiers that are from RSPO Certified (Round Table of Sustainable Palm Oil Production) palm oil, Ecocert approved for use in organic cosmetics, vegetable derived and where the company itself follows greener environmental practices in all that they do.

In the future we are trying to resource a palm oil free emulsifier that still meets all our other criteria.

Our glycerine is certified organic and palm oil free.
Our caprlyic triglyceride is from coconut fractions and our caprylic/capric glucoside is an Ecocert approved non PEG solubliser derived from a reaction of glucose from cornstarch (sugar) with a coconut fatty alcohol.

VEGAN:

Although we do no animal testing and do not purchase any ingredients which are animal derived (i.e ceramides, collagen) or animal tested we do however use certified organic, natural beeswax, honey and milk in a few of our products which are humanely obtained. Products suitable for vegans are clearly labelled on our website.

GLUTEN AND WHEAT:

We do not claim that our products are completely free of all traces of gluten or wheat. Products that contain hydrolysed wheat protein, hydrolysed oat protein, oats and wheat germ oil should not be used by those with gluten or wheat allergies. Our Grain Alcohol, Tapioca Starch and tocopherols are reported as being gluten free.

In ending we remind the reader that even small steps towards caring for our planet and our fellow humans are worthy steps.
